Cilla;
Born they say within the sound of Bow Bells which may permit her to be called a ‘Cockney’. Mum Rose was born Dublin but went to England during the last war where she worked in Munitions.
Dad Tom was from Newcastle and Cilla (or Priscilla to giver full title) lived her formative years in the St. Marylebone area of London. Worked mainly in shops and Schools and ended her working life at BHS Harrow.One Sister Brenda and brother Eamonn (deceased).
Married to Leo nearly 40 years with one Son Paul, Married to Claire, with two beautiful Grandchildren. Also have a Nephew Fionnbharr (pronounced Finbar) to whom we are surrogate Grandparents.







Leo:
Born in Waterford. Father Jimmy (1903-1984) was a local man who had led an outstandingly interesting life. Served in the Irish Police (An Garda Siochana), the British Army and in the Royal Navy (1st World War). Mother Molly (1903-1979) (Rochford) was a native of Dublin. A great cook and Mother.
Leo, youngest of 9 children lived and was educated in Ireland to age 12 when family emigrated to England. Served an apprecticeship with the Government Car Service and looked after senior misisterial cars including Downing Street. Best memory of that was Mary Wilson, Wife of Harold, who always insisted on making us a cup of Tea in No. 10 and sat with us in the Kitchen. A lovely Woman.
Joined the Metropolitan Police 1970 and served in Uniform in the West End of London for about 3 years before becoming a trainee Detective. Appointed full time Detective in 1976 served East London, West London, Interpol and latterly on the Murder Squad. In 2001 was awarded the QPM (Queens Police Medal) and retired to live in Ireland.
